RACING PIGEONS

This is the breed of pigeon that was used in both world wars to send messages from the front lines to headquarters. There service to our country has been well documented. There were times when they were the fastest and only form of communication. The breed has evolved to the point that many pigeons can fly 500 miles in one day. Many have flown 700 miles in a day. I find it strange in today's world many in government want to remove this great soldier from there town city and state.

I don't think any elected person should be allowed to remain in office that would contribute to the possible extinction of any bird. Even if it is only in one city or town.

Without a home and a caretaker most domestic pigeons would become extinct.
