10 weeks will be allowed for the above 8 week race schedule. NO races will be shipped after Nov. 7th 09
Bad weather causes a race to be canceled the entire race schedule will be pushed back 1 week.
This would eliminate the last Old fort race.
Shipping cost will be $5.00 per basket, NO Shipping Limit. However many baskets you purchase for the first race must be purchased for every race
Example: 1 basket 8 races = $40.00 2 baskets 8 races = $80.00 3 Baskets 8 races = $120.00
THE BIG PIGEON RACE: Danny read his outline for the race. All agreed on doing the race and to per sue it further. All clubs need to do an accurate inventory of baskets and this count need be brought to the attention of the GNCC officers. A rough count was taken of available baskets at the meeting (50 baskets)
Motion made to allow monies from the treasurer to be available for a mailing list to be sent to other pigeon flyers to acquirer their support in entering our new race.
Motion made to set a meeting date for all current paid members to make all decisions regarding the direction The Big Race. Meeting date will be sent out in the coming week or two for the time and Place of meeting.
Current Paid Members are = all members that paid the $150.00 for the past 09 Old Bird season
It was decided that the current paid members and officers are the owners of "The Big Pigeon Race and will make all decisions that pertain to The Big Pigeon Race.

Call to Order. Danny called meeting to order.

Awards, 2008 Young Bird Season: John Kinney presented the concourse seasons awards
Opening remarks:
Richard Clark discussed the steps the AU is taking on relaxing some of the membership competition rules so more clubs would qualify. Letters from the AU indicate that this issue has been approved and a Bulletin will be coming out early next year.
Old Business:
No Discussion or concerns reported.
New Business:
A: Drivers for the upcoming old bird season was discussed. Danny indicated he would pull the GNCC races. (Van is repaired) Anyone interested in helping out with pulling one or some of the races please contact Danny.
B: It was voted on and passed (unanimous) to sell the GNCC trailer. Minimum sell price to be $8,000. Eddie and John Kinney to head up this process. Voting was done by the club representatives indicating how their club members voted.
C: Flyer commitment for 2009 old birds. Committed flyers are expected to pay so planned fees can be accurate.
D: Direction and joining of John Kinney’s Ciro release stations into the GNCC schedule. It was voted on and passed to incorporate John’s release (training) schedule into the GNCC old bird race schedule. A combination of John’s west course and the previous GNCC southwest course was passed. The schedule is below:

April 18, Saturday, Asheville, NC GNCC race. Please note this is a GNCC race.
April 25, Saturday, Cairo, IL
There is a $135 fee to John Kinney for the four above race stations. Make checks out to John Kinney and send to John. Contact John for pick up information. All participants in the Southeast Open race from Cairo have to make their bird entry fees to Bob Lynch for the race from Cairo.

The GNCC race fees are $150 per flyer. Send check to John Kinney. Make check out to the GNCC.
These are two separate and independent race schedules.
GNCC race schedule participation required to vote on GNCC issues.
Total for both schedules is $285.
GNCC race schedule first pick up point will be 7pm at exit 17 on Interstate 95 near Lumberton.
